Steven, I'm not too sure about your comment that 'Bitcoin mining now among the greenest industries in the world.' A quick question to OpenAI and Gemini shows that a much more nuanced view is required, something along the lines of 'the industry is moving towards a more environmentally sustainable footprint', but is certainly not a paragon of green in the world at this time. And AI should know. Lol.

A recent paper - mining is now moving to 70% green energy. Your iPhone (or car) is half of that (energy to produce). there are very few industries that can claim that. Not because miners particularly care about the environment , but because mines using green energy are cheaper than trad enengy (rivers turbines, volcano heat, etc). And the chips get more efficient every year. The 'high energy usage' narrative is, erm, losing steam.
